I love roses - there is just something so pleasant about the fragrant flowers that stirs the heart. They can mean so many things too. It makes me happy to see them in pictures.
(Although my favorite flowers are hydrangeas... generally I love them all. )
Drawing is really easy, in my opinion. There shouldn't be anyone who can tell you that it's extremely difficult and that you'll never get anywhere - but perhaps the most important thing is to enjoy it, just like enjoying the smell and touch and look of roses.
I feel silly saying this mushy thing, but... art isn't difficult, nor is it impossible, nor does it make anyone 'special' - it makes us us. If you can love, you certainly can draw and paint, and sculpt and anything in the world, no matter what your job is. We may not be very good at it, but perhaps it's the good feeling that counts?
I just hope this step-by-step shows how easy drawing a simple rose is and many people can start to try although at first, we're afraid to try. It is not a very anatomically correct rose, and only for beginners to see construction of petals focused around a central point (bud). I like to use it often! I like simple things.
Have fun!
